Eurofighter Selects TITUS to Provide Email Protection Software for Next Generation Combat Aircraft Project

OTTAWA - TITUS, a software development organization focused on delivering policy management solutions for email, today announced that Eurofighter has selected Titus’ Message Classification software as the classification solution for the project’s email infrastructure.

Based in Hallbergmoos, Germany, Eurofighter GmbH is the consortium created to manage the development, production and the in-service support of the Eurofighter Typhoon, the next generation fighter aircraft. Under the terms of the contract, TITUS will deliver email classification and protection solutions to the Eurofighter project team. This will allow a more secure exchange of information between Eurofighter team members.

“After the evaluation, TITUS was the only vendor able to meet the stringent requirements we demanded for email classification for our Microsoft Outlook platform” said Greg Coulthard, Information Security Officer at Eurofighter. “The Message Classification solution will help raise the awareness of email security within Eurofighter, and will help us protect against unwanted leakage of sensitive information.”

“The Eurofighter project represents an exciting next generation technology project” said Charlie Pulfer, General Manager of Titus. “We are pleased to be part of the security foundation for this important project.”

The Eurofighter Typhoon is a supremely agile, single seat, twin-engine fighter developed in cooperation between Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. The aircraft is expected to fulfill Air Force requirements well into the mid-21st Century. The aircraft is in full production and, having achieved Type Acceptance, the first of the 620 Eurofighter Typhoons planned for the four Partner Nations were delivered in 2003, and will continue to be delivered throughout 2005.
