Collaboration Offers More Effective Archiving and Discovery of E-mails Based on Assigned Classification Labels

OTTAWA, ON – October 4, 2007 – TITUS, Inc. today announced it has integrated its Message Classification technology with Quest Software’s Archive Manager, allowing organizations to make more informed decisions concerning the archiving, storage, retention and discovery of business records, while simultaneously reducing storage costs and simplifying management. The combination of TITUS Message Classification technology with Quest Archive Manager allows intelligent message archiving, policy enforcement and the protection of corporate assets.

This solution addresses the challenges of growing e-mail storage costs and e-discovery. TITUS Message Classification for Outlook allows a one-click selection of classification labels for e-mail. Classification of information provides a basis for archiving based on business value. Only when data is appropriately classified can it then be intelligently filtered, retained and discovered.

Classifying for Intelligent E-mail Archival

User based classification of e-mail using the TITUS Message Classification solution creates e-mail metadata. Metadata can then be used to segment records based on their business value. This segmentation allows the assignment of unique retention and deletion policies, ensuring that records are not retained for longer than required for business or regulatory compliance reasons. Classification metadata can also dramatically improve the speed and effectiveness of the search and retrieval process.

Quest Archive Manager can be easily configured by administrators to filter certain classification of e-mail into the archive. The length of retention can also be determined based on the classification of information. This provides an overall solution that ensures only important records are retained, and storage management costs are reduced.
