TITUS and Good Technology Partner to Provide Email Classification Support for iPhone® Users

Ottawa, ON — February 9, 2011 — TITUS , a leading provider of security and compliance solutions for email and documents, today announced a partnership with Good Technology to provide end-to-end email classification support for the iPhone® and Android™ platforms.

Good Technology is the leader in multiplatform mobility helping enterprises and Governments worldwide secure and manage a range of devices. By partnering with them, we’ve given our joint customers much greater flexibility in the types of devices they can use with TITUS Message Classification.”

The joint solution enables round-trip support for classification of email from the desktop to mobile devices and vice-versa. TITUS classification labels will now interoperate with mobile client classification solutions developed by Good Technology for the iPhone, and will soon offer support for Google Android. This will allow for seamless recognition of classification labels between these platforms.

“We have developed proven solutions for enterprise and government customers who need to ensure the security of information assets on their mobile devices,” said John Herrema, senior vice president of corporate strategy at Good Technology. “Working with TITUS will allow our customers to have consistent information security controls from wherever their information is being sent and received.”

Users can assign classifications to messages created on the iPhone and Android Good clients, and email can flow securely from these devices to the Microsoft desktop and be read by TITUS Message Classification. Classification information is maintained when the message is replied to or forwarded, enabling enforcement of information protection policies both at the desktop and by network or host-based DLP solutions

In addition to benefitting enterprise customers, this partnership has big implications for military customers who require support for classification schemes such as CAPCO, and US Federal Government customers who need to show their compliance with the recently mandated Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) directive.
