The Classification Selector provides a simple, non-intrusive way for users to identify email sensitivity with classification labels. Users can be prompted to add classification labels to every email, or only when Content Validation identifies sensitive information in the email or attached documents. The feature is easy to use and enables organizations to enforce their classification policies.

Classification Selector includes the following features:

• Forced classification: Presents a classification dialog that forces users add classification labels to all email, tasks, and meeting requests.
• One Click Classification: Enables users to classify, mark, and protect their email with only one mouse click.

• Auto-classification: Assigns default classification labels for specific departments or groups of users.
• Content-based classification: Prompts users to add classification labels only when Content Validation identifies sensitive information in email and attached documents.
• Inbound classification: Enhances records management by enabling users to classify unmarked email in their Inbox. Watch the 2 minute video.
• Simple and intuitive interface: Guides users through the classification process, whether it's a simple, single dropdown list of classifications, or a choice of multiple, complex marking schemes.
• Label mapping: Maps classification labels across different languages and business units, facilitating inter-departmental and multilingual collaboration.
• Dynamic labels: Displays classification labels based on the user’s Microsoft Active Directory attributes, such as role, department, or project group.
• Online help: Provides customizable online help and tooltips for reinforcement of classification policy training.

Classification selections are completely customizable by the administrator, including control over label names, selection types (dropdowns, multi-selects, calendar controls, type-ins), the classification hierarchy, and the number of classification categories.

Users can be prompted to classify their email after clicking Send
