Portion Marking

The Portion Marking feature classifies individual sections of an email, such as paragraphs, tables, lists, and subject line. This helps to identify particularly sensitive portions of an email. The easy-to-use interface ensures that the portion markings are correctly formatted for the organization’s classification policy, and eliminates the errors associated with the manual application of portion markings.

If a user applies a portion marking that is higher than the overall email’s classification, the email’s classification is upgraded and the visual markings and metadata are updated. This helps to prevent inadvertent disclosure, including unintentional declassification in government and military environments.
