Role-based Messenger

Role mailboxes are supported in Microsoft Exchange, but Exchange has two major limitations: It can be difficult for users to figure out how to send email from the role address instead of their own address; and messages sent from the role address are copied to the individual's Sent Items folder, instead of the role mailbox Sent Items.

TITUS Message Classification solves these problems with role-based messaging support typically seen in high-end Military Messaging Handling Systems (MMHS):

  • Users can select the role address from a dropdown list when composing the message. This makes it easier for users to select the correct address when sending an email.
  • Messages sent from the role address are copied to the role mailbox Sent Items folder, where they can be reviewed by other individuals with access to the role mailbox.

Role-based messaging can be turned on or off using the Message Classification Administration tool.
