US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is a set of United States government regulations to control the export and import of defense-related articles and services. The US Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) strongly encourages organizations to create ITAR compliance programs for record keeping including the identification, receipt and tracking of ITAR controlled items and technical data.
