Many security standards in today’s market focus on the protection of PII (Personally Identifiable Information). Items such as national identification numbers (for example the US Social Security Number or the UK’s National Health Service Number) are government issued identification cards used for everything from tracking employment to assuring healthcare for its citizens. In addition, privately issued items like credit cards and university student ID numbers are also the focus of predatory attacks. TITUS Message Classification (TMC) for Outlook helps organizations control the distribution of PII via a new feature called Content Validation. Content Validation provides the ability to search for sensitive information like social security numbers, credit cards and tax numbers. TMC, working within Microsoft Outlook, will scan the email and attachment and will warn the user that sensitive information is present before the email can be sent. This provides immediate feedback to the user with specific options to correct the problem.

Classifies any file type in Windows Explorer, including Adobe PDF, multimedia files, and CAD documents.

Restricts access to documents in SharePoint based on the document’s metadata properties in order to ensure the right people are seeing the right information.
Document Policy Manager
Applies visual labels to existing and new documents automatically in order to help comply with marking requirements. Converts documents to Adobe PDF to protect against unauthorized editing of sensitive information.
