Titus cited in independent vendor landscape for data classification

Monday, October 30th, 2017 OTTAWA, ON — Titus, the worldwide market leader in classification and protection solutions for unstructured data, has been cited by Forrester Research in their recently released, ‘Vendor Landscape: Data Classification, Q3, 2017’.
This report examines the data classification vendor landscape, and gives security leaders guidance on key criteria to look for as they create a shortlist of solutions and an approach to data classification.
Forrester states in this report that, “data classification is the foundation for protection and governance” – something that Titus and our customers have long recognized. The report goes on to say that, “technology vendors with solutions that help security teams manage and protect data increasingly see that classification is an important part of optimizing the utility of those solutions and enabling customers to derive more value out of the tools.”
Forrester splits the data classification vendor landscape into two main areas of focus: compliance and data protection; and information governance. Titus is viewed by Forrester as aligned with both protection and governance.
